Star Photojournalist of the year
Since Chris Cody came to work for us, he’s been our Star Photojournalist every year. His knack for capturing just the right expression and/or a balletic movement from a sports player is unlike all but a few of his peers.
A few of Chris’ tear sheets include more than one of his photos. His photo of the soccer player with the ref in his hip pocket is not your usual soccer photo. His kid in the project show with huge cow is perhaps my favorite photo in years. On Sept. 5, he caught the Anahuac football team running onto the field carrying the two jerseys of teammates killed in a car crash just days before.
